Cleopatra was born in 69 BC in Alexandria, Egypt, and was a member of the Greek-speaking Ptolemaic dynasty. 3. Cleopatra is famously known for her romantic relationships with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, two prominent Roman leaders of the time. 4. She was known for her beauty, intelligence, and ability to speak multiple languages, including Egyptian, Greek, and Latin. 5. Cleopatra was not actually Egyptian but of Macedonian Greek descent, as the ruling Ptolemaic dynasty originated from Macedonia. 6. During her rule, Cleopatra sought to maintain the independence of Egypt from Roman rule and strategically aligned herself with powerful Roman leaders to protect her kingdom's interests. 7.
