The Butterfly Series uses images that I have captured in the real world - rusting containers, road markings, doors weathered by the wind and rain, discarded items and forgotten type - and transforms them into something new; something beautiful. My process is firstly about mindfulness: taking the time to notice the world around me. Secondly it is about creating something new with those images: bringing beauty to the world. Each Butterfly has been given a Latin name derived from the images on its wings.
