Baba Yagá

Baba Yagá is old, bony and wrinkled, with a blue nose and steel teeth, she has one normal leg and one made of bone, which is why she is often called "Baba Yagá Bone Leg". These two legs represent the world of the living and the world of the dead through which she wanders. Baba Yagá is a perverse and cruel being, but not totally evil; she eats people, usually children. Her teeth allow her to break bones and tear flesh with ease. Even though she consumes large amounts of meat daily, she always has that skinny and bony look. Baba Yagá flies mounted on a mortar (sometimes a pot) and rows the air with a silver broom. Baba Yaga does not allow any "blessed" person to stay on her property, as long as she knows that the person has a blessing.
